We were thrilled to take 49 parishioners, including Father Peterson, to the yesterday's March for Life. Leaving bright and early at 6:30am, we arrived to the Shrine in time for most of the Mass celebrated by Cardinal Rigali. Afterwards, we took the METRO to the rally point for the Archdiocese of Philadelphia and made our way through the streets of D.C. with our message of Life. Estimates state that 500,000 people shared our concern for the unborn and we walked together, as one voice. A tired but pleased bus load that included both children and adults arrived back at SMG at 9:30pm.

A special thanks to all who made this possible, with their prayers, donations, and participation. We will add more pictures as they become available.

Respect Life @ St. Maria Goretti parish

The Respect Life Committee at St. Maria Goretti Roman Catholic Church in Hatfield, PA, is comitted to respecting life in every stage, from conception to natural death. We proclaim that human life is a precious gift from God; that each person who receives this gift has responsibilities to God, self, and others; and that society, through its laws and social institutions, must protect and nurture human life at every stage of its existence (U.S. Catholic Bishops) To this end, we will promote life issues to our parish and community through education, outreach, and activism. All are welcome at meetings. contact us
