This week in Christ's life… (16)
This week, Jesus is 16 weeks old. All the major elements of his lungs have formed, except those involved with oxygen-carbon dioxide exchange. Meconium begins to form in his bowel. His has primitive finger and toe prints. Myelinization begins and Jesus now measures approximately 5.5 inches long, big enough to be cradled in his mother’s hand. He has lived for 112 days. Child Jesus, growing in the womb, give us the strength to protect all people, especially the tiniest of growing babies.
