Breaking News: Mollohan Learns Votes Have Consequences (SBA)

Just moments ago, Rep. Allan Mollohan of West Virginia, a Democrat who abandoned the pro-life principles of his constituents and supported the biggest expansion of abortion since Roe, learned that Votes Have Consequences and was defeated in the Democratic primary by pro-life challenger Mike Oliviero!

Mollohan’s loss comes as a direct result of his vote for healthcare reform that included federal funding of abortion.

Who deserves all the credit for this major pro-life victory? You!

Thanks to the continued financial support of pro-life activists like you, the Susan B. Anthony List spent over $78,000 in television ads, radio ads, and robo-calls informing pro-life West Virginians that Rep. Mollohan betrayed their values by supporting ObamaCare.

Our next targets are Rep. Brad Ellsworth, who is running for Senate in Indiana; Rep. Steve Driehaus of Ohio; and Rep. Kathy Dahlkemper of Pennsylvania, all of whom abandoned their principles for party and chose death over life for unborn children, funded by your tax dollars.

Tonight, President Obama and his pro-abortion allies saw the strength of the Pro-Life Movement. They saw that Votes Have Consequences. We unseated a Congressman who had been in office for 28 Years!

The Wall Street Journal noted our efforts and quoted Marjorie, saying:

"Outside groups also played a role in the race, including the Susan B. Anthony List, which opposes abortion rights. The group targeted Mollohan for his vote in favor of the Democrats’ health care overhaul. 'Congressman Mollohan now fully realizes that votes do have consequences,' the group’s president Marjorie Dannenfelser said in a statement."

Congressman Mollohan isn't the first to learn that votes have consequences, as Congressman Bart Stupak announced earlier this Spring that he wouldn't seek re-election. And these two Congressman won't be the last!
