Breaking News: House asked to pass pro-abortion Senate bill (SBA)

I just received a breaking news alert from Politico which confirms what we've been suspecting all along: pro-abortion leaders in Congress are going with the nuclear option. They will attempt to pass the health care bill through reconciliation, a legislative maneuver that will require the House to pass the Senate version of the health care reform bill in order to avoid a Republican filibuster.

The Senate health care proposal does NOT contain pro-life Stupak language and therefore would result in our tax dollars subsidizing mandated abortion coverage in health care plans. This would result in the deaths of hundreds of thousands of unborn boys and girls.

With pro-abortion leaders in Washington choosing the reconciliation route, pro-life Democrats in the House are going to be under tremendous pressure from Nancy Pelosi to pass the pro-abortion Senate health care bill.

As you know, the Susan B. Anthony List has been leading the charge to encourage pro-life Democrats to vote principle over party. We recently commissioned a poll in key Congressional districts of pro-life Democrats and should be receiving the results today that will further confirm that the constituents in these districts demand that their Representative vote pro-life on health care reform.

We will use every means possible to apply pressure and ensure that pro-life constituents are informed and take action. We need to act now to protect the lives of the unborn.

The finish line is in sight. Your efforts are critical to ensuring that we defeat the powerful pro-abortion lobby, who have Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid, and Barack Obama in their back pocket. carol, You know that I would not ask unless the situation was dire. If this bill passes, it will result in the deaths of hundreds of thousands of innocent children, all at our taxpayer expense.

God bless you for your continued support.

For Life,
