It's All About Money (SBA)

At least they're finally being honest. Months after claiming that health care legislation doesn't expand taxpayer funding of abortion, Democratic leadership is finally admitting that they want to fund abortion.

Pro-Life Democratic Leader Rep. Bart Stupak told National Review that Democratic leadership is arguing, “If you pass the Stupak amendment, more children will be born, and therefore it will cost us millions more."

There you have it. The almighty dollar is being put above innocent human life.

But it gets worse.

Stupak says his coalition of pro-life Democrats willing to put Principle above Party is cracking, saying that they are under an "enormous" amount of pressure to cave and are having "both of their arms twisted." And its working. Stupak reported that he has lost one, maybe two members of his coalition so far, and more could crack.

The good news? You and I can stop this. We can provide reinforcements to these brave pro-life Democrats and mobilize even more pro-life constituents in districts where they are wavering.

As a former member of Congress, I know first-hand what it's like to be put under Party pressure. I can sincerely tell you that calls and e-mails of support from constituents to put principles first make all the difference.

Whether or not America will witness the biggest expansion of abortion on-demand could come down to one or two votes, and chances are it will come down to one of the Congressional districts we are targeting.

These Pro-Life Democrats need to hear from their constituents.

Regardless of how the vote turns out -- a vote that is scheduled to happen this upcoming week -- I want to know that every Susan B. Anthony List activist did everything they could to defeat this massive expansion of abortion on-demand.

I am tired, and I know that you are, too. And so I will close with an inspirational quote from our late pro-life leader, Congressman Henry Hyde:

"When the time comes, as it surely will, when we face that awesome moment, the final judgment, I've often thought, as Fulton Sheen wrote, that it is a terrible moment of loneliness. You have no advocates, you are there alone standing before God -- and a terror will rip your soul like nothing you can imagine. But I really think that those in the pro-life movement will not be alone. I think there'll be a chorus of voices that have never been heard in this world but are heard beautifully and clearly in the next world -- and they will plead for everyone who has been in this movement. They will say to God, 'Spare him, because he loved us!'"

May God bless you today and always for your efforts to protect His children.
